Work Better From Home

Updated: Mar 12, 2022

Kuchar teamed up with the hip new furniture line called Etc to study how the pandemic is changing how we work. We surveyed and talked to a mix of people throughout the US to understand what is working well and what isn't with regards to their home office setup. What do most people like about working from home, and what do they miss about the office?

Not surprisingly, most people are feeling the physical pains of not having proper, ergonomic office furniture. In our white paper, we recommend four different home office setups that will improve how you work and feel - whether you're in a studio apartment or have your own home office.

Our take-away as designers? Office design and strategy may have been taken for granted in the past, but now it is very well understood. A good ergonomic chair, the right amount of storage, a mix of work areas around the office - all promote wellness and an efficient way of working. We believe that once we are all allowed and feel safe to return to the office, there will be a strong need for the benefits that office space brings. (More to come on this topic in the coming weeks... stay tuned!)
